Privacy policy

We know that the security of your data is important to you. If you provide us with information about yourself – such as your given name, your family name, your postal address, your e-mail address, or other personal data – it is used only for the purposes required.

Our processing of personal data is in accordance with the relevant regulations, in particular with Swiss law relating to data protection and telecommunication.

Your data

When you visit our website, various kinds of information are stored. Certain data are provided directly by the user in registering for services, such as name, address, and the particular area of interest. Other, non-personal data are stored through technical processes, such as IP addresses. In using various other services such as online games, discussion forums or chat rooms, ordering goods or services, or contacting us directly, the user provides us with other kinds of data.

Business relationships with third parties

Our website contains web links. We have no control over the processing of the information displayed on such pages. Data transmitted when connecting to these external pages are stored and processed directly by the third parties responsible for those websites according to their own provisions. We do not assume any responsibility either for the compliance of those provisions with data protection regulations or for the content of the sites in question.

Cookies

In certain cases we use “cookies”. A cookie is a small file sent by the web server to your Internet browser that is stored by your computer. It allows us to recognise you when you visit our site. Cookies and other similar devices are also used to perform certain processes, services and transactions, such as when you use a virtual shopping basket on a digital shopping site on the Internet. You can set up your browser in such a way that, before storing a cookie, it offers you the opportunity to either accept or reject the use of cookies. You can also renounce the benefits of personal cookies (refusal to provide navigation data). In such cases certain services will be unavailable.

Cookie types

First-party cookies and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are readable only by the domain that created them.

Third-party cookies are created by external domains, such as through Google Analytics.

For the functioning of cookies in Google Analytics, see the official documentation provided by Google:

 http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/concepts/gaConceptsCookies.html

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies; information generated by a cookie on a visitor’s use of the website (including his or her IP address) is transmitted to Google in the United States and stored on its server. Google (the independent data controller) uses this information to track and analyse your use of the website, compile reports on website activity for the site operators, and provide other services relative to website activity and the use of the Internet. Google can also pass this information to third parties where this is required by law or where these third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google does not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Users of the site can refuse to use cookies by setting up their browsers accordingly; this could, however, make some of the site’s services unavailable to them.

Session cookies and persistent cookies

Cookies are also characterised as either “session” or “persistent”. Once downloaded, the former are erased when the browser is closed, whereas the latter are stored on the user’s hard disk until they expire. Persistent cookies are used principally to facilitate site navigation, to understand which sections of the site have generated a certain number of pages and users, and also for the distribution of advertisements.

The session cookies we use are intended to speed up the analysis of Internet activity and provide users with access to the services offered by the site; with these cookies, personal data are not transmitted or acquired, and visitor tracking systems are not used. Session cookies are principally used during the authentication, authorisation and navigation processes of the services accessed by means of registration.

Use and transmission of data

We manage your data exclusively in order to provide information or promotional material relating to our activities by means of electronic communications (e-mails, newsletters, etc.), to gather statistics on the use of the site, and to speed up, improve or personalise the service we provide to users.

The data collected may be stored either electronically or on paper, and will be processed in accordance with all the provisions of the law regarding the protection of the rights of the parties concerned.

Data are processed for the period necessary for the purposes cited above. You may request that we stop processing, erase or restrict your personal data at any point.

Changes to our website

We will be constantly updating our website. We aim to offer you an ever-better service, also with regard to the protection of your privacy, and are therefore always available to our users. For any information or enquiries, please contact our staff through our contact form.
